Overview

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) Library is a private university library established in 2005. The library, together with the campus, was located at Wisma 46, Jend. Sudirman St. Kav. 1, Central Jakarta, before finally moved to its own office in Scientia Boulevard Road, Gading Serpong, Tangerang in 2009. The UMN Library is a two-floor library located in the Building B of the campus, with an area of approximately 1500 m2. The library offers various services such as books, journals, theses, research reports, proceedings, magazines, textbooks, reference materials, Indonesian collections, and novels, which are also available in digital forms. Our collection is currently consisting of more than 20,000 printed materials, 13,000 digital theses, thousands of journals and many more.

Besides winning some provincial and national-level awards, UMN Library is widely recognized for its excellence in services. We are the first library in Indonesia to offer free access to Netflix, and among a few libraries which serve the clientele during the Covid-19 outbreak by providing book delivery and dropship services. To widen students’ horizons, we’re also offering an Information Literacy course that is available on UMN’s e-learning platform. Final year students and lecturers can also consult our Reference Librarian for some advice regarding the most up-to-date journals and references to help their research.

With the flattening curve of Covid-19 in our country, the library is currently open for a visit, with a limited occupancy and a strict implementation of health protocol. Students can now enjoy the relaxing ambiance of the library, read printed books, borrow some collections, and take benefit of our strong internet connection that is available in the whole area of the library.

The UMN Library is committed to strive its best for the advancement and achievement of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara’s Vision and Mission. Together, we can personify a better nation by shaping technologically savvy, informatically literate human resources through library services.
