Overview

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara Library (UMN Library) was established along with its parent body in 2007. At that time, the UMN campus was located at Wisma 46, Jend. Sudirman Road Kav. 1, Central Jakarta. Then moved to Plaza Summarecon and finally had its building in 2009 on an 8 hectare land in Scientia Boulevard Road, Gading Serpong, Tangerang. UMN library is located in Building B, 1st and 2nd floors, with an area of approximately 1500 m2. It has facilities equipped with a wifi connection, service counter tables, bookshelves, reading tables and chairs, and study carrel. On the 2nd Floor, there are discussion rooms, Bank Indonesia corner, reference materials, reference short loan matters, and computers.

Our collections currently contain approximately 20,000 copies in the form of textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, research reports, theses, and proceedings. We also have digital collections such as CD-Rom, e-book, e-journal, thesis, photos, videos, and others. UMN Library also subscribed to a digital textbook collection that was integrated with a Learning Management System (LMS) total of 2000 titles.

The UMN Library has a distinctive Indonesian collection that carries the theme of the archipelago as the identity of the university. These collections include references that explore and describe the culture, history and places in Indonesia. The UMN Library also has a high commitment to advance and support the vision and mission of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara reflected in the human resources and services provided by the library.

To be a knowledge center and ICT-based as a form of excellent service to support the learning process of the academic community. 

 

Mission

The UMN Library has a mission to:

 

  1. Become the heart of the university in charge of collecting, processing, and disseminating information and knowledge to all academicians to realize the Tridharma - Three pillar of (Indonesian) Higher Education
  2. Become a trusted, interactive, and total partner for all academicians in conducting teaching and learning activities, research, and community service
  3. Improving integrated digital library management following the development of information and communication technology (ICT).
  4. Establishing wide networking with national and international institutions to improve library services
