Starting September 20, 2021, UMN Library has opened doors for visitors

Good news to UMN academic community who have been waiting for the library to open a visiting service! We inform you that ahead of hybrid lectures, the UMN Library has opened an On-Site visit service since Monday, September 20, 2021, for Floor 1 with a health protocol and a visitor capacity limitation of 25% of the total capacity.

Previously, the UMN Library has provided limited services and is only open for specific purposes to prevent transmission of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19. The operational hours of the UMN Library were open Monday - Friday from 09.00-15.00 WIB. 

Starting September 20, 2021, operational and service hours will change to Monday – Friday at 09:00-16:00 WIB with some conditions for visiting the UMN Library as follows:

 

  1. Library service hours: Monday-Friday, 09.00 - 16.00 WIB
  2. Before visitors and employees enter UMN Library, everyone is ushered to check their temperature at the UMN building entrances
  3. Library visitors must wear double masks. We advise using KF or KN-type masks and apply health protocols.
  4. Library visitors must scan the QR Code Visitor Check-In when entering the library to get a visit number.
  5. Visitors to the UMN Library are limited to only 25% of the total library capacity.
  6. Visitors are only allowed to be in the library for a maximum of 2 hours.
  7. Library visitors can borrow and return books directly using a self-loaning machine.
  8. The library continues the delivery service of book borrowing by making a reservation in advance via the link https://bit.ly/umnlib-peminjamanbuku
  9. Visitors who want to leave the library must scan the QR Code Visitor Check-Out. If you do not check out, library visitors cannot re-enter the library.  

 

Access to online library services can still be enjoyed through checking for similarity with Turnitin, Grammarly, Request e-book/e-journal, Pearson e-Textbook, and chat with a librarian via WhatsApp to number 082297972011.

Although the quota and operating hours increase, the UMN Library consistently tightens supervision of all employees and visitors who will enter the UMN Library building to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The UMN Library has also placed hand sanitizer in every corner of the UMN Library service facility.
